I’m very pleased to invite you to attend the Joint International Symposium New Trends in Allergy VII and the 6th Rajka Symposium on Atopic Dermatitis which will take place in Munich from July 22 to 24, 2010.

This international symposium focuses on new trends in allergy research, both clinical and experimental. Special emphasis will be given to the basic mechanisms of allergic inflammation, the role of environmental influences on induction, elicitation and maintenance of allergic reactions as well as upon practical clinical problems in patient management, from diagnosis and treatment to prevention.

The International Symposium on Atopic Dermatitis (6th Georg Rajka Symposium) has a long-standing tradition to bring together experts – from research to practice – in the field of atopic dermatitis from all over the world in regular intervals. All aspects of this disease will be covered and state of the art regarding therapy can be expected.

Special topics include the genetic basis of allergy, the role of environmental influences, effects of climate change. Clinical topics in the focus will be eczema, asthma, rhinoconjunctivitis, food allergy, anaphylaxis, drug reactions, photoallergic reactions, the itch sensation, psyche and allergy as well as new strategies for diagnosis, treatment and prevention
